Although most Americans have never seen an AGA range, cooking is a joy. Because there are no knobs or other controls, you learn to cook by moving items among the 4 ovens you find in many AGA ranges. This cookbook is structured so you can plan a dinner party for 10 and still have time to spend with your guests before the meal. Many people in England would surrender their Jaguar or Range Rover before their AGA Range.

For Americans Learning To Use An Aga Cooker Feb. 6 2010
By D. Stassel - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I bought an Aga traditional cooker. The two books by Amy Wilcock were OK, but everything is in English measurements and way too. much English-type cooking. Mary's book has everything in our measurements so you don;t have to look up conversions. The recipes are excellent. They range from high calorie to healthy. There hasn't been a recipe that I haven;t liked. It also tells you what you can make ahead and freeze. The book taught me how to use this stove.

Helpful if you have an Aga May 31 2014

I found this book helpful..... but it is all in metric, grams, etc. Not so quick cooking, when you are trying to convert all your measurments, etc. Also, the recipes are English, I think, and I was surprised how different they are than what we think of as "American" recipes. I ended up ordering another AGA book that had both types of measurements, so that I didn't have to convert. Also, the other book had more on caring for and understanding your AGA, which I needed at first.
