4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to read and insightful, but already outdated, Feb 8 2011
This review is from: Mass Communication in Canada (Paperback)
I love studying the media, and this textbook is great for giving a Canadian perspective on an American dominated field. It's written clearly, without pretension or cryptic language. However, the media landscape basically evolves too fast for any textbook to keep up. Discussions on the internet tend to focus on MySpace instead of Facebook, and television discussions are often on shows that have already been cancelled. Still, it's a very good textbook, and if you don't mind casting your mind back a few years, it's a useful resource.
