Ship Shape Soundtrack,

I am a big fan of soundtrack music and this soundtrack doesn't disappoint. It brings back the movie moments for me as it seques through drums beating to quarters and eerie calms before storms. However you don't have to be a fan of soundtrack music to enjoy this. It is thoroughly modern orchestral music and would suit anyone who enjoys exciting instrumental music as well as classical music fans.I am currently reading the series of books by Patrick O'Brian upon which the movie is based and find listening to the music as I read just heightens the experience for me. Beautiful and haunting, exciting, dramatic, all in all very pleasing.

Many good points have been made by others regarding this soundtrack so I will simply give what I consider to be a most relevant point: it stuck with me. Each time I watch the film I find myself for several days afterwards humming the tunes as I go about my daily routine until it drives me to pop the DVD in once more. I cannot recommend it highly enough both for fans of the film and books alike.

This is exactly what I expected it to be. I watch this movie over & over a lot for just the music and this cd is full of the classics from the movie. It was shipped expediently and in good shape. The packaging was done to preserve the contents. I would order again.
