We bought a couple of these for a trip through Italy two years ago. Now that we are planning another trip to Europe, I'm back for another one. This worked great through airline transfers and several other individuals handling our luggage.

Attached the lock to my luggage and when I got to my destination the collar on the lock had snapped. The hook part now just swings around since there's nothing to lock into. My disgust was that this was the first time I used it. Not worth it unless your luggage will not be slammed up against any other piece of luggage by luggage handlers at an aiport.
