5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect!, Sep 20 2003

I am still a second year podiatry student but this book is very detailed provides many cases and shows color pictures of steps taken to complete the procedures. Prepares you ahead of time to know what to expect and what to do. )impress clinicians while you are in externship and residencies!! In addition, it provides precise drawings (kinda like those in netter) of important anatomical structures key to the surgery . This is a great find and excellent reference for aspiring surgeons.

5.0 out of 5 stars good value for money, Nov 27 2007

when I buy a book of the series I expect a guide for operations to be done properly by a person who is not having the subspecialty of foot and ankle syrgery in his everyday practise.I got familiarized withthis book in the hospital library and it certainly serves the above mentioned purpose well.

1.0 out of 5 stars Master Techniques? How About Standard Techniques?, Dec 3 2005
By Richard M. Allen - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Master Techniques in Orthopaedic Surgery: The Foot and Ankle (Hardcover)
When I purchase a Master tech book I expect to learn something great. I found that in the Master Techniques Of Podiatric Surgery, I did learn something from all chapters. Not so with this one. It is OK but for example the Chapter on toenail surgery is substandard. Most podiatrists have better skills than those described. The photos show pretty rough surgical technique. I also noticed that none of the chapters were written by podiatrists who have done much of the foot and ankle innovating over the last few decades, ie. Weil, McGlamary, and many more. Get Master Techniques Of Podiatric Surgery. I am considering sending this book back to the publisher.
