About the Author

Janet Wilcox is a voice-actor whose clients include E!, ABC, Lifetime, HBO, Lowe’s, Nickelodeon, Cinemax, Lancôme, the Discovery Channel, and others. She has worked as a writer, producer, and director on major promotion campaigns for HBO, A&E, and the History Channel. With Heyman Talent and the SAG Conservatory, she taught improv and voice-over workshops, and currently teaches studio voice-over classes at UCLA Extension. She lives in Los Angeles.

This books is a plus for any actor's library! With a thorough explanation of how to build your performance, it is written in an easy to read style. It includes a CD, and information about working as an actor, and even doing scene work. It's not just a MONOLOGUE book, but an ACTING book. As a professor of Solo Performance at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood for 8 years, I highly recommend it!

I recommend this book as a must have in every actors library
and i recommend going to it for guidance before and after any audition
This book contains an abundance of information and guidance that all actors need to build
their audition skills and confidence.
