HASH(0xa63ddc60) out of 5 stars Stinky doesn't Stink Nov. 5 2010

I wasn't sure about oredering Stinky unitl I saw You.Tube video of him. Stinkty came and my son loved him. It took him a day to learn all of Stinky's functions but he was aving fun with him right out of the box. Stinky performs everything as demonstrated. I did find one drawback. It would have been nice if the Matchbox have included a volume control in the design- Stinky is loud. I couldn't find anyway to muffle him but that is the only drawback. One other thing you should know is in the manufacturers directions it advises that Stinky not be played wit outside as dirt, sand and wter can cause him to malfunction so if you child takes him in the sandbox- he isn;t going to work and that's a lot of money to pay for a fancy Tonka toy. I think Matchbox shuld tell you that up front.

All said my four year old really seems to like playing with him. Amazon's price with free delvery was competitive with anything I've seen in stores and he is way cheaper than Big Foot who to me doesn't really do much of anything.

HASH(0xa6285c54) out of 5 stars My son loves it! Oct. 18 2010

My 2 1/2 year old son loves that it eats the cars and poops them out. While it does not have much educational value, it does make him less nervouse about pooping now that he is potty training since it poops too.

HASH(0xa69ab7b0) out of 5 stars Extremely fun. Extremely LOUD Nov. 26 2010
By M. Heiss - Published on
Stinky is very fun, and after you change out the trial batteries to your own batteries, he performs all the functions on the box. He's very cute and funny (with one rude noise) and kids love him. Even big kids think he is hilarious.

Stinky is LOUD LOUD LOUD. There is no volume control on this toy. There is no escaping his loudness. Heads up, Mom.

HASH(0xa628cd44) out of 5 stars Stinky makes you love him! Oct. 6 2010
By Gadgester - Published on
This robot toy in the form of a garbage truck, and with the super-attractive name of Stinky, isn't cheap, but he makes you (esp. if you're a male) fall in love with him in no time. He talks, sings, tells jokes, and is just plain funny. His front fender drops like a jaw which, while nothing new, makes him seem really comic. I saw this at my local TRU and, despite being unemployed, I just couldn't help but buy it, for myself! (I did have a $15 coupon to help me make up my mind quick.) For men and boys of all ages, I highly recommend this loveable companion!

Wow, does my wife hate me for buying this for my 3 year old because it's like having a drunk uncle who starts fights with you at the dinner table. It's loud, jerky, and you can't understand a word he says - then, it goes to sleep. My son gapes at this toy leaping back and forth from amusement to total abject fear. Not only does it flip out from time to time the voice chip sounds like the announcements on a NY City subway system - you don't know where it's going or what it's saying. But the true horror is not the toy - it is the terrible dvd that came with it featuring a young boy whose father encourages him to play in a dangerous junk yard. Somehow, surrounded by rusty and jagged metal the boy learns a lesson about life, friendship, and sleepovers. Hopefully he has gotten his tetanus booster because if anyone is going to get lockjaw it's little Timmy. Thanks Dad! But the most frustrating thing is that this toy has so much potential. It's a cool little robot and it can do a lot of fun things. It's just painfully annoying.
