I would definitely recommend this book to maternity, L&D, postpartum nurses who like to get information from a hardbound reliable source. It has good, detailed information. Only downside, textbooks go out of date. So it's probably best as a tool for while you're in nursing school still.

This book is alright but needs improvement. Some of the resources sited are from less than reputable (i.g. Wikipedia). It needs better organization instead of putting thought fragments randomly in sections where it does not belong, and it needs to stop repeating the same information in different ways over and over through the chapters.

I bought thie edition because The new version is $80 compared to I only paid for less than six bucks for this book. The chapters are totally different number, the titles are the same but I copied the new chapters from my classmates. Some contents are different only some paragraphs. Its enough info to pass my weekly quizzes.
