Amazing Album from an Amazing Artist Aug. 17 2013

I was introduced to Milow's music when I was vacationing in Belgium--I asked my friend who lives there for music he recommends that I listen to; he didn't hesitate to recommend Milow.

It's been almost a year since that trip, but his recommendation has stayed with me up to this day.

The thing that makes his music endearing is that they're always personal (the only exception, I think, is "Ayo Technology," the song that made people here in the U.S. pay attention to him), which isn't surprising since he wrote most of the tracks in the album. You hear his struggles on faith in "The Priest," give himself a pep talk in "Canada," show his love for his mother country in "Brussels is on my side," and even offer nostalgia in "Born in the Eighties."

Speaking specifically about this release, "Maybe Next Year: Live" is a nicely packaged set of up- and mid-tempo songs that would get you grooving to their infectious beats, or at the very least, have you tapping your toes in rhythm. He also paced it nicely--giving you a one- or two-song "break" (basically, a slower song) before starting up again with a fast tune. The DVD has several songs Milow performed in the encore that are not in the audio disc; they're worth listening to as well.
Good example of Milow April 3 2012

Great artist, orginal but reminds me a bit of James Taylor in his youth. Milow writes lyrical material, sings in a very clean style and his band is tight and well arranged. Recommended.
