I had to buy this book for my Solid Mechanics course. I would advise you to do yourself a favour by buying Russell C. Hibbeler's Mechanics of Materials/Statics/Dynamics/Structural Analysis books rather than anyone else's. The experience with this book was OK but I wish I had been smarter and just buy the Hibbeler's Mechanics of Materials.

This is really a great book in a hard to grasp subject.It is easy to follow ,has a lot of excellent sample problems and examples ,sudent-friendly and it is ideal for selfstudy.

This books is the only rival of the Hibbeler's book.It has full SI editions and it contains clear examples.It handles the concepts clearly and in detail. Read more
