Megazone 23 - Best Animation in the Series? Aug. 4 2012
By Area88 - Published on
Megazone 23 Part 3 was released in 1989, 3 years after Part 2, none of the original characters except Eve return, however this turns out to be a bless. Rather than go back to the original formula, we are given a fresh story. Instead we meet Eiji who gets into trouble when he begins working for EX Corp. He finds himself suddenly caught in a deadly war involving artificial intelligence. He must then discover the secrets of Eden City and find the wreckage of the Old Megazone.

The story is slow at first but it quickly becomes as good as the previous parts. Ignore the previous reviews, these are spoiled fans that don't know a good show when it lands on their head. Part 3 has amazing animation, again movie esque in production values. The Japanese and the English dub are both really excellent. I enjoyed this so much, I've told all my friends to watch it.

Another waste of money June 27 2007

This one is really a stinker!!! How come is Shogo remembered , what happened to Eve? Those people there are playing video games and then they find the Bahamud? I dont understant what is happening in this movie..and I think the animators really missed the point.

I won't bother elaborating too much on this title here, but rest assured, it suffers from the same faults as Part I and II, but has a story that does not even relate to the original series (OVAs).

I was a fool to buy all three at $21.99 each, not knowing how terrible they would be.

Lesson learned.
