Great little CD player for my 7 year old daugther. Sound quality is good compared similar priced units. So far quality seems good as well.

HASH(0xa2d83144) out of 5 stars This box works great Sept. 2 2011

I bought this item because I have had a couple of small boom boxes that I've tried to play MP3 CDs on and they burn out. You can play normal CDs forever, but after a few weeks to a few months of playing MP3 CDs with 100+ tracks, the motors start to burn out.

I have been playing large MP3 CDs for months on this box and it works great!

When I first purchased this product I was pleased, but it only worked for a few months then it would no longer play CD's. I returned it and was given another (same model) which also worked for only a few months and it too will no longer play CD's. Very poor product. I don't wish to add to the landfill problem but this product belongs there. I will not be in the market for another Memorex product in the near future.

I don't really write product reviews which means this product must be so bad that I would actually bother. And it is. On paper it looked really good. Portable boombox that played mp3 CDs and had a digital FM tuner (well, actually its an analog tuner with a digital dial but I'll let that slide) all under $50.

Well, after using it for less than three months, the CD player stopped working. Don't know why or how, just stopped working. You would assume that its because I dropped it or something but no, I didnt even move the boombox at all during the three month span.

Digital FM tuner is cool. Sure, its actually an analog tuner but with a digital dial so its pretty useful. I'm just angry that the CD player was built so flaky.

The so called "digital" tuner is mearly an analog tuner with a digital readout. You cannot preset stations and the digital readout is not accurate. Not what I wanted or what I need.

Received today & it's going back tomorrow. Cheaply made. Power chord to the back of the unit doesn't fit right & won't stay in place. Tried 3 cds (all were clean & 1 was even brand new)& CD player would not funtion would play for a few seconds, then shut down, or pause, etc. I was SO disappointed as this was a gift for my son. For the brief time I did hear it play it sounded great. Unfortunately, it's not well made.
