Relatively rare scores played sumptuously by preeminent and yet hidden-jewel-like guitarist. Her tone is incredibly warm and technique is so strong enough to interpret these difficult pieces so fluently and very impeccably at the same time. Her delicate articulation and sensitiveness remind me of Renoir's paintings colored with a great diversity. Considering written in 20th century, the melodies are pretty much lyrical and never too ambiguous including the world premiere recording of Duarte's. Very enjoyable pieces to most of classical music lovers! Besides, the hall tone is captured wonderfully thanks to the natural ambience of the cathedral and the superb engineering efforts. Yes, there are plenty of well known classical guitar repertories recorded by many of great guitarists. However, if you want to somehow get out of those cliché or to look for deeper enjoyment of the classical guitar music, this is a very good example you can try. Performance is second to none and so is the sound. Hoping to review her next one soon, recommended!
