Binge on Live Metallica!,

For those who think Metallica have "lost it", push your "back" button right now. You will not enjoy Orgullo Pasion Y Gloria: Tres Noches En Mexico. Hetfield's not getting any younger. Lars isn't magically going to start playing like Portnoy. It is what it is.What it is, is 2 DVDs and 2 CDs of live Metallica in Mexico, with a crowd going absolutely nuts. Here's your tracklist: DVD 1 "The Ecstasy of Gold" "Creeping Death" "For Whom the Bell Tolls" "Ride the Lightning" "Disposable Heroes" "One" "Broken, Beat & Scarred" "The Memory Remains" "Sad but True" "The Unforgiven" "All Nightmare Long" "The Day That Never Comes" "Master of Puppets" "Fight Fire with Fire" "Nothing Else Matters" "Enter Sandman" "The Wait" "Hit the Lights" "Seek & Destroy" DVD 2 "That Was Just Your Life" "The End of the Line" "Holier Than Thou" "Cyanide" "Blackened" "Helpless" "Trapped Under Ice" "Turn the Page" "The Prince" "No Remorse" "Fuel" "Wherever I May Roam" "Harvester of Sorrow" "Fade to Black" "...And Justice for All" "Dyers Eve" Unfortunately, the two CDs just encompass DVD 1. The music for DVD 2 is unavailable in audio format. Bummer. I don't need to comment too much on the song selection except to say I was really happy. I mean..."Dyer's Eve"! "Trapped Under Ice"! Even "Turn The Page"! Plus enough new songs to keep you satisfied. I thought the track list did justice (pun intended) to every era of Metallica all in one package. I found the audio recording to be nice and crisp and I have no complaints about the DVDs at all. I guess I would just have a beef that there was no boxed set that included both a blu-ray AND the CDs. Such a thing does not exist. Packaging-wise, for this money, I felt a little ripped off. I would have enjoyed a bit more substance. It's hard to forget how awesome the Binge & Purge box set was, and it really wasn't a lot more expensive than this is. For that I deduct a star. 4 stars.

I read the reviews of the 'two DVD, one CD' set. I figured the price reflected that. I received a single disc edition of the show, which didn't even include the heavy Trapped Under Ice. Lesson learned, read the produce description.Great concert, whole band sounds great, but an insane price for a single disc.

This is the special or deluxe edition of the three presentations of Metallica in Mexico in June 2009.There are other editions,one with a single DVD,other with the DVD and two CD's and other in blue ray format. This edition have 2 DVD's and 2 CD's,the only difference with the other editions is a DVD which includes the rest of songs that the band play in all the three nights. That's to say, in this edition you can find all the songs played in the Mexico's show. The production is amazing, the show is wonderful, the interpretation of the songs is execellent, in others words this is a must have production to all the people interesting in the good rock, in a very good show, and of course for all the metallica's fans. The DVD's are free region and are thought to be sold them in Latin america but thanks to amazon is possible to get it all over the world. The audio and the video are excellents, the concert show to metallica in a inspired night and in a very good mood, the crowd is in perfect armony with the band, in other words, this is an inspired show, where everythig is in the right place and quantity and a concert for all the times. Choose the edition that you want but if you like rock music don't lose the chance to see one the greatest band of all times in a very inspired concert. 14 of 15 people found the following review helpful

This is a great concert, Metallica at its best but who had the stupid idea of cutting the concert to several times to add interviews, emottional fans crying, etc? That should be in the Special Features section but NOT though the concert. Very annoying.

This show is excellent. The sound is excellent and yes you get Dts 5.1 and the way that the cameras are used are just amazing. YOu almost feel as if you were there and the cameras show just how big the arena is. A lot of the material is old school and it sounds as metal hard as it ever has. Metallica just seem to get better as they grow older. The energy that was sent back and forth is amazing. I have seen many Metalica shows on Dvd over the years and this is there best yet.
