1.0 out of 5 stars Aaaarrrggghhhh! The disappointment! Jan 30 2011

I quite enjoy reading these novels by Laurell Hamilton, ploughing through the whole series and nearly at the end. But, I'd have to say this particular one was a profound disappointment. Here was I thinking I was getting a full novel that I could while away the hours with and, instead, I got this short story, followed by a heap of other short stories that have either been published, not published, were the basis for other novels - and that wasn't what I'd thought I'd bought. I actually bought it to read on my iPad and I was totally and utterly disappointed and couldn't be bothered finishing it once I got through the main story. Could be my own fault for not reading the information properly before buying, but I still felt ripped off.

3.0 out of 5 stars A continuance Mar 2 2013

This book is in 2 parts. The first part continues the Anita Blake saga but is quite a short read. Strange Candy explores some of the authors earlier short stories and shares to some extent her thoughts when writing and how her publishers treated her in relation to each story. An interesting read.
3.0 out of 5 stars Short stories to fill in details Mar 14 2013

The book was ok, nothing spectacular about the writing or the story line, was really just a "fill-in" piece for those of us who follow "series", wouldnt bother with it again
