What a wonderful, comprehensive book on Michael Jackson that was actually authorized by Michael Jackson! This is the fourth edition-The Official Tribute Edition. The first edition was published in 1994. The author, Adrian Grant, was initially a Michael Jackson fan who created "Off the Wall" magazine, a Michael Jackson fanzine and fan club, and soon became a close British friend of Michael's. Grant's magazine spread around the world, reaching readers all over Europe and as far afield as Australia, Africa, America and Asia. Grant is also a pioneer of many Jackson related projects including the stage show "Thriller Live."

I'm absolutely amazed at the detailed record of facts of Michael's movements, incredible music, exciting short films, countless awards, memorabilia, quotes, concerts, world tours, etc.,-and all printed on high-quality, glossy paper. This labour of love includes hundreds of color and black and white photographs, as well as Michael's family tree. Starting on the day Michael was born, August 29, 1958, and ending on July 7, 2009, the day of Michael's public memorial service held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, this is an incredible factual account of an extraordinary human being, a spectacular humanitarian and the greatest entertainer who ever lived.

This is a superb overview on MJ's life. It has many short bits of info and some more indepth peices. It goes date by date starting from when he was young, all the way up until he died, mentioning each performance, charity event, album, you name it. Its here! There are many pictues and also many quote and parts of interviews from Michael and people who knew him. This book is a very accurate and nonslandering view on his life and is highly reccomended as opposed to all the other trashy books that are trying to make money off his death. The author was a friend and fan of Michaels so you know it is written very respectfully.

The Michael Jackson: The Visual Documentary is the most comprehensive book ever published on the King of Pop. Michael Jackson himself has recommended this book - mentioning it in the sleeve notes of his HIStory - Past, Present and Future Book 1 album. Covering from the birth of Michael Jackson upon to the present day, the book provides a complete record of Michael Jackson's moves, grooves, music, albums, family, history, and more. Illustrated with hundreds of photographs, the book also details Jackson's records, concerts, videos, awards, interviews, quotes, public appearances, his family, fascinating memorabilia and details of rare Michael Jackson records, and much more. From Steeltown to Motown, from the Jackson 5 to his solo career, from The Wiz to Thriller, he's been Bad, Smooth and Dangerous and even Blood On The Dance Floor. He's made captivating videos, with exciting dance moves, played spectacular concerts and filled the world's largest arenas across the world. He has been performing since the age of five, breaking records since he was 11 and a star without equal since 21. He has been such a great influence on music history over the past 30 years and with this book, you can be part of his journey from birth to present (full with dated details). Though never far from the media spotlight, Michael Jackson remains an enigma. The Michael Jackson: The Visual Documentary presents all the facts about Michael as never before -- everything you need to know about world's most famous celebrity is in this one book. The book contains over 200 pages, over 280 photos, promo pictures, rare pictures, complete discography, singles information, family tree information, and much more. The complete history of Michael Jackson.
