5.0 out of 5 stars Great little keyboard Feb. 21 2013
Verified Purchase
I've used the old Microsoft Wired Keyboard 500 for years and just upgraded to the new 600 version. Been using it heavily for the last couple of days (I'm a software developer) and I'm very happy with it.

Pros:
- Low profile keys
- Easier to clean
- Takes up less space in nearly all dimensions
- USB and not PS/2
- Slightly concave typing area is a bit easier on the fingers
- Very soft sounding when typing (very faint click)

Cons:
- Width-wise positioning of Ins/Del/Home/End/PgUp/PgDown takes a little getting used to
- Keys seem slightly smaller (might just be the spacing between)
- Function keys are tiny, harder to find based on prior muscle memory

All-in-all a great purchase for the price. The cons are all little transitional/niggly things that I'm sure I'll get used to very soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars worth the price Dec 1 2011
Was looking for the cheapest keyboard and found what I wanted. For 13$ it is definitely worth it, keys make no noise and works perfectly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Nice Aug. 23 2013
Verified Purchase
I have gone wireless, mini, black and white and after throwing my last keyboard into a box with at least 5 others that don't do the job anymore, I decided to go back to basics. I wanted something inexpensive but not cheap looking and this seemed like a good choice when I read the reviews. This keyboard has surpassed my expectations in every way. It looks great, and has a nice solid feel to it. I think this will be around for some time. It has the look and feel of a much more expensive board and using it is a pleasure. I can't find a single fault with it. A great keyboard at any price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great quiet keyboard April 3 2014
Verified Purchase
This keyboard is fantastic.

The keys are quiet and stable (no lateral movement) and are still as quiet as when I received the keyboard last year. The curvature of the keyboard is great actually. It took little time to get used to the curvature and I find that it actually helps prolong comfort when typing long documents. The comfort level is equal or superior to the hallmark HP Standard Basic Keyboard 2004. The calculator button above the keypad turned out to be very useful.

The keyboard I received though differed slightly from the picture in that the Start button features a Windows 8 style logo without the bubble and there are no shortcut helpers printed on the front wall of the keys.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than average keyboard with good price March 29 2014

Pro:
- love the key presses. quiet and good to the touch.
- extra function keys (play/pause, volume controls, mute, and calculator) are very useful.
- good price (though was even cheaper before)

Con:
- not so much of a bad thing: the upper row of keys (ESC, F1-12 ...) are smaller than standard keyboard;
but once used to it, it works just fine. good for playing games too.

have been using it for 5 months and still love it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for the price March 29 2014

Can't really ask for more for this price. The feel of the keys are very nice and sleek. It does seem quieter than your average keyboard, probably due to the design of the thin keys. There are also these legs you can pull out of the back of the keyboard for some more leveraging if you'd like. Very nice. I admit this did take a few days to get used to, but I'm not complaining. Also, it's not a french keyboard like someone else mentioned.
