1.0 out of 5 stars Things haven't been better since 2004, Sep 25 2005

This review is from: Microsoft Money 2006 [Old Version] (CD-ROM)
This wasn't what I had expected.
In my opinion, Money 2004 had better features than 2005 and 2006.
The feature 2004 had was it's Cashflow Forecast.
It had a line graph and you could choose which accounts to monitor and for which time period from the next 7 days to 1 whole year. It would show how much your accounts would have at a given point. Very useful in seeing how much cash you had to spend or when to transfer money into an account which will go under.
2006 Canadian Edition doesn't have this great function and doesn't have the debt reduction planner.
To get these, you would have to go for the Money 2006 Deluxe which is not sold in Canada.

If you could find a 2004 Money, my opinion take it. I'm uninstalling 2006 and going back to 2004.

2.0 out of 5 stars I'm giving up on Microsoft Money..., Jan 3 2007
This review is from: Microsoft Money 2006 [Old Version] (CD-ROM)
I've used Microsoft Money since 2003, and I think 2006 will be my final version (I'm going to try switching to Quicken). It's not that the program is as bad as some of these reviews state. It's really not that bad a program. However, it has become EXTREMELY sluggish over the years, with reports taking quite a while to general (with faster computers) and the budget being very clunky and awkward.

I'm not saying Quicken XG is going to be much better, but we'll see...

On a positive note, Money is very pretty with asthetically pleasing charts and graphs...

2.0 out of 5 stars Could Have Been Better, Aug 17 2005

I recently purchased Money 2006 to upgrade to a Canadian version. This doesn't give you the tax hints, and is basically the same as previous version. I was quite disappointed and felt like I have wasted my money.
