Lots of Good Pointers,

Within minutes of opening the book I was following some of the pointers I found by leafing through it to add enhancement packs to my movie maker setup.The book is much like any other reference material I have read, it's not a sit down and read the whole thing, but more of a browse through and pick out details that are applicable to your needs. For people who just want some good solid pointers on how to make thier home moves more interesting and watchable, this book is certainly a good first step.

PapaJohn, who runs one of the best Movie Maker websites ..., has sunk all of his expertise into an easy to read book.This book starts of with the basics of using Windows Movie Maker 2 and then goes into advanced topics like, adding special effects, working with sounds, organizing files and sharing your movies through email or on a web page. John has also included an online companion with demonstrations and walkthru's that can be accessed from his website. Great book for any Movie Maker user.

Get a Mac,

If you are interested in making home movies on your computer, get a MAC! Windows pales in compaison in almost everything that computers can do, and this is epidimal in home movie creation. iMovie puts WMM to shame, most PEECEES don't even have built in firewire which is required to get the dv onto your computer for sotware that was preloaded onto it! I hate PCs because there is no reason not to.
