2.0 out of 5 stars I Felt Cheated! Shame! Shame!, July 2 2011
By Princess - Published on Amazon.com
I read about 85% of this book in the author's novel titled On Dangerous Ground starring hero Sean Dillon. I was extremely disappointed and felt cheated. Almost of all of this book's content can be found in On Dangerous Grounds with Sean Dillon's role now played by Paul Chavasse and Brigidaire Ferguson's role played by Mallory. The plot is different and poorly developed but many of the characters remained the same with maybe a last name changed here and there. A couple of edited sentences prevents the book from being a complete duplicate of the Sean Dillon novel. I have read every novel written by the author featuring Sean Dillon and enjoyed them, even though they often contained repetitive sentences from novel to novel such as "God has nothing to do with it" or "It's been said before". I resented that Sean was suppose to be a great IRA assassin with the trademark of shooting someone's ear off and kneecapping them - but then as you read other novels by the author you'll see that practically anyone with a gun can do it so it's no longer special. But as for this novel, Midnight Never comes, I was disappointed that the author would be so lazy as to copy one novel, give it another title with different character names and sell it for the same price. Shame! Shame! Shame! By the way, I never figured out why that title since nothing in the book addressed it.

1.0 out of 5 stars I guess Jack Higgins is out of ideas., Nov 19 2011
By Carl Johnson - Published on Amazon.com
If you read On Dangerous Ground you already read this. Not even the names were changed to protect the innocent. If it had been another author it would be pure plagerism.
