dont buy this, this game is pure garbage, just because d. howard is in the cover doesnt mean its good, if your a gangsta or a wannabe well you might enjoy this, but for those pure gamers out there who wants good basketball game, buy nba 2k11 or if you still have your old consoles, just buy nba 2k5, it has a baller mode and associations mode

as a HUGE fan of the streetball games i was given this one as a gift because i have already beaten all the "NBA Street" games.. and let me tell you that the "NBA Street" games are a thousand times better than this garbage.not only is this game very dumb but it doesnt let you do what you wanna do. and what i mean by that is for example.. when i shoot a 3 everyone jumps to block it.. INCLUDING MY OWN GUY! as well as when your doing your "combo moves" its impossible to control where hes going once you get him started.. and even though you cant go out of bounds you lose the ball and the create-a-baller is pretty bad.. crappy choices camera angle is horrible and story mode is complete garbage.. the horrible controls and stupid combo moves that you HAVE to do to beat the challenges make it near impossible.. like coming back from 22 down with 3 minutes left (and you have to win by 2) and even if you shoot 3's all day it doesnt matter because you didnt find the 5 hidden dunk moves.. but does it tell you you have to? nope i had to read stupid walk throughs and other customer complaints.. i guess this game could be fun if it made a few minor adjustments or if youve never played the real streetball games.. but either way this game is not worth it unless you only wanna play 1v1 or 1v1v1 or 2v2(which is pretty bad because of the controls) like i said the "NBA Street" series is the absolute best series if you want to play "streetball" i suggest that.. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

I enjoy playing Ballers. Up to four people can play, which raises the competition level a high. What I don't like about the game is that there only a selective few of legends to choose from. Of course, no Michael Jordan. But other than that I enjoyed the game.

I'm a fan of the NBA Ballers, so getting this game was must for me. the customization is just as good as the other two previous NBA Ballers(ps2), but they took out some abilites which was really stupid. They took out goaltending and ON FIRE(3 shots in a row). and on top of that, you cant even get evry single stat max!! the most obvious ones are the easiest to get like, steals, rebounds, 3pt shots, blocks, post off and def, dunks and lay-ups. Other than that, the othr stats can be hard to improve. the sound is good, but when you steal or block it sounds like some tyoe of woop sound or random sound that they just put in. as for the online play, it all depends because it can be real quick or take a long time, and when you get a game going 90% of the time, its going to lose connection. Overall its a medicore game, but if your a fan of NBA Ballers, you should cop this game.
