Mildred Keith June 24 2006
By Rebekah A. Lane - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Mildred Keith embarks on a journey with her parents, great Aunt Wealthy, and younger siblings in this delightful and facinating read, and arrives at a new home in Pleasent Plains, Indiana. I can't believe I'm the first person to review this! The Keith home is a very domestic setting, and, though this book really doesn't have a plot, I enjoyed it very much, particuarly the spiritual reflections of the charactors, and their interactions with their new neighbors. Martha Finley has a wonderful sense of humor, and all of her charctors are original, full of color and life. Adventure and romance for children, young people, and their parents. Enjoy!

Beginning of the Mildred Keith series March 8 2007
By Kristen Shields - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This is the first in the Mildred Keith series, a companion series to the Elsie Dinsmore books. Mildred's family moves to the 'frontier' after a financial loss, and lessons learned along the way serve to strengthen their faith.

Very different from the newer releases by Mission City Press, the books are not interchangeable. Still worth reading, however.

Written in a similar fashion to the Elsie series, this book is just as hard to put down! The vocabulary may challenge; however, it does not hinder the understanding of plot. Reading it on the Kindle is an advantage because a dictionary is built in!
