Saw this show & loved it so bought the CD. Very good but 1 song is done 2x in French & then once in English & I find that a bit much. Otherwise, very enjoyable.

Achingly beautiful - buy this album NOW,
By Leslie K - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Mile End Sessions (Audio CD)
Acoustic is by far what David Usher does best, and although he has had successful forays into other styles, he is far and away at his best when it's just his voice, his lyrics and simple music. The Mile End Sessions delivers 100%. This album is a mix of acoustic versions of previously recorded songs, with a couple of new tracks thrown in, most notably Je Repars, a french version of I'm Coming Down on which David is joined by regular collaborator Marie-Mai. The song was beautiful when it first came out in English, but it is taken to a new level here.If you loved David's first album, Little Songs, you will love this one. If you are a longtime fan, you will love this album. If you have never heard of David Usher, but love beautifully crafted, simple songs that stay with you for a long time, you will love this album. This album reaffirms that David is only getting better with age and parenthood. He lays his soul out on every track, and it is never more visible than on these simple arrangements that let the heart of the songs shine through.

Loved this CD the first time I heard it. I'm surprised I've never heard him on any radio stations yet.

One of the the top five albums ever on a first listen. It totally took me away somewhere else. Absolutely beautiful. A true masterpiece. Every word out of David's mouth makes you feel.
