Product Description

From legendary director Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later) comes “a family film of limitless imagination and surprising joy!” (Chicago Sun-Times)

It’s holiday season and seven-year-old Damian believes he’s received a divine gift from above when a suitcase filled with cash literally falls out of the sky. Damian is anxious to share the wealth with those less fortunate while his fun-loving brother Anthony would rather spend it like there’s no tomorrow! But when the loot turns out to be stolen, both the boys’ plans are put to the test—with heartwarming and hilarious results.

Millions is a journey of the heart told through the persons of two brothers. The boys have widely divergent views of the world. They share a recent loss of their mum and a move to a new development where everyone is homogenously affluent. The cinemetography and music serve the story line well. There is magic in this movie and who doesn't need/want to believe in magic theese dark days? You will laugh, cry and come away wanting to do more to bring about social justice. This is a magnificent film. Buy two, because you will want to give one away to your best friend immediately.

This is a wonderful movie that has a charm and magic of its own. The characters are believable and funny, and like all true comedies there is a certain amount of pathos, your eyes should be welling up at the very end!!!. With all the apparitions of the saints that show up, it almost makes you proud to be Catholic!!!

As the story opens, we meet brothers Damian and Anthony, who have just lost their mother. The family moves to a new house to begin life without her, and Damian finds a big bag full of cash. This sounds like a dream come true, but in two weeks' time, England will switch to Euros and the Pound will be worthless. The boys have to come up with creative ways to spend the money (before a very scary man finds it and them).

This is a sweet and uplifting movie and I enjoyed it a lot. Damian and Anthony are likable and real, cute without being cutesy. Danny Boyle directed the 2004 film and gave it a just the right amount of heart with a clever script. Damian is an innocent, religious little boy who often "sees" and talks to various saints; these scenes are witty and not disrespectful.

This is a warm film the whole family will enjoy and it made me wonder what I would do with a bagful of cash.

Sweet, funny, angsty. A child's dream of what he would do with a lot of money when it lands on his play fort, and how he and his brother differ in how to spend it. A bit hard to understand the British accent and the appearance of some of the saints, but all in all, an entertaining movie for older children.
