About the Author

Goldie Hawn is the founder of the Hawn Foundation as well as an international children's advocate and enthusiastic campaigner for the mindful celebration of life. An Academy Award-winning actress, producer, and director, she is also a mother and grandmother. Her bestselling autobiography, A Lotus Grows in the Mud, was published in 2005.
Wendy Holden is a journalist and author of more than twenty-five books, including the novel The Sense of Paper, published in 2006. She was also the cowriter of Goldie Hawn's memoir, A Lotus Grows in the Mud.

To all parents - 10 Mindful Minutes is a must read. I am a father of two and have already started applying the principles. It is not an instant success series of concepts - so do not look for that. Rather, it is a long term smart exercise to teach your children to be mindful of their actions, thoughts, and emotions.

Goldie Hawn and Daniel Siegel write a great book, bringing meditation, mindfulness, and positive psychology research all into one good - practical source. It is a good overview of some key finding in the positive psychology literature - adopting several techniques for your children.

Sometimes Goldie's examples seem a bit light ... but overall it works into the book well. The techniques, principles, and suggestions in 10 Mindful Minutes are super important to all parents.

It is a shame that these mindful, emotional control skills are not taught more broadly in primary school.

Great Book.
Light & quick read.
Extremely important topic to all parents!
