This is an okay book for ideas. It only has 17 different designs for small cakes. Small cakes as in 6 inch diameter. The designs are simple and colorful that can be made by even a novice at cake decorating. The book includes templates for some of the designs. The first few pages gives a description on ingredients, recipes and techniques which I think could have been left out. The individual who buys this book should already know the basics of cake decorating.

What a waste of money...Really thought it was a cute idea to give 'mini cakes' as gifts, but not much to the book for the price and what little is there is pretty unimpressive. Haven't tried the few cake recipes yet, maybe that will be the saving grace. But, from just the mini cake decorating photo examples, I am TOTALLY unimpressed!
