It was Beatrix Potter's passion for the natural world that lay behind the creation of her famous little books. A particular source of inspiration was the Lake District where she lived for the last thirty years of her life as a farmer and conservationist. Today Beatrix Potter's original 23 tales are still published by Frederick Warne, alongside a wide range of other titles including baby books, activity books and gift and sound books.

This product is so cute that my daughter can't look at the books without supervision, but then again she is three and an older child would not need to be watched, the stories are great for reading to my daughter because they are just short enough to finish before she gets bored, the illustrations are very pretty and detailed enough to discuss with my daughter

When looking for a set of Peter Rabbit books for my nephew, I found that there is a new version that has abandoned Miss Potter's drawings in favor of a flat lifeless rendition of the characters...how can this be? Who would want to alter the image of Peter we have grown up with? The details are important..and don't think children don't notice everything they see in them...they do! The watercolor illustrations breathe life into the characters making you believe they are real!
This tiny boxed set is true to Miss Potter's desire to have the books small enough to fit into the young readers hands. While not a series of board books, they will need to be handled with care, a good place to begin with your child by teaching them to cherish and care for books with a treasure like this Peter Rabbit mini set. They are excellent addtions to your library with the original watercolor illustrations by Beatrix Potter. A very good investment!

After seeing the movie, Miss Potter, I wanted to know more of Potter's stories than Peter Rabbit. I collect small things. I so very much enjoyed reading each of these 12 lovely little books. The case is designed so beautifully and only takes a small space on my book shelf.
