Murder fascinates people. Whether it's an actual murder or a homicide devised by some author, people love the horror, the drama, the mystery of murder most foul. In A MISCELLANY OF MURDER, Boston's Monday Murder Club present a wide-ranging grab-bag of murder trivia FROM HISTORY AND LITERATURE TO TRUE CRIME AND TELEVISION.

A MISCELLANY OF MURDER groups its magical (mayhem) mystery tour into chapters covering the seven deadly sins: lust; gluttony, greed; sloth; wrath; envy; and pride. After defining each term and how its role in mayhem, the authors present brief blurbs on true-life murders, famous murderers, unsolved murders, trials, etc. related to that sin along with summaries, first lines and quotes from novels, TV and movies and so on.

While the book is rather loosely organized, it does contain a lot of material sure to interest murder and trivia fans... plus, with a price tag of $14.95, it's easy on the pocketbook. Recommended.
