The whole album is one very listenable album. Jills writing and song list complements that smokey voice that reminds you you of a classy bar late at night and she sounds like she's singing just to you. This album is the extension and expansion upon her previous albums that had me hooked from the get-go. I am impressed with her song writing and the production by clean sound and no cheap hooks. This album is the noticeable growth within her voice and with ease she sings. It won't be long before she becomes a big big name in Jazz and the Canadian music scene. I don't think ever song knockes you out, but they are all stringed together just right. I can't wait for her next one as I have worn out this cd by playing it constantly. So far this my album of the year. Buy it, no matter what type of music you like. This is so slick.

The showstopper is the wonderful 'Took Me By Surprise', which should have been the first single, as it's the best song of the year. The rest of the album can't quite match it, but, then again, nothing on any other album recorded this year does either. So I'm giving it 5 stars to make up for the review from Edmonton.Too bad Amazon doesn't have a sample you could listen to...
