Ever since Mason believed his best friend over her & walked away Lacey Gibson has been determined to keep away from him. Even when she discovered she was expecting their child. Until now. Bethany has gone missing & Lacey needs Mason's help to find her.Deputy US Marshal Mason Stone is astounded to hear he has a daughter, upset that Lacey didn't tell him sooner, & scared...scared that he won't get to meet his daughter & scared that his love for Lacey is still as strong as ever & that she will break his heart again. The two are in a race against time to find their daughter, while trying to protect their hearts from the love that never quite died between them. I loved this very fast paced, action filled story, another favourite of this series. Although 4 books precede this one & you actually get to meet & know Mason in book 4, you don't need to have read them before this one.
