All these Mist videos are delightful and suitable for all ages. A sheep farmer in Devon, England, filmed his six working dogs in action and then put his films together and added voices for the dogs and sheep to make stories. My favorites show the rams who have Scottish accents and are prone to butt the dogs. Each dog is a character. The scenery is magnificent and the stories are heart-warming. Mist, the original long movie, spawned 10 minute segments that were, I think, shown on British TV. I heartily recommend them all. My grandson, age 3, particularly likes the shorter segments.

My sons, ages 5 and 8, absolutely LOVE Mist. And honestly I enjoy the videos a lot too (more than pretty much any other kids' videos I've come across) because they are not excessively cutesy or treacly or artificial. Yeah okay, the dogs "talk" via voiceover, but adults can get used to that :) and it's done in a fun, improv-comedy kind of way. So if you have kids who like animals in general or dogs in particular and want something you can watch with them and genuinely be entertained, I highly recommend all of the Mist stuff.
