This handy book is a useful guide to color intensity and color mixing by the use of color charts. The color charts display the ratio of each color needed to achieve the desired shade or tone. While I have taken a few classes, color mixing has always been accidental rather than intentional. Although it does not take the place of continued practice or trial and error, this Barron handbook steers the painter to the right mix. Also, included is a bit of information on theory and colors. However, it is limited. Overall, this convenient little guide is a helpful tool for the beginner.
