Gundam Music for the 21st Century (Revised Review),
By Chao-Chen (Jack) Lin "The Professional" (Surrey, BC, Canada.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Complete Best (Audio CD)
This album is the best Anime soundtrack I've ever heard so far, and it gets even better every time! It combines classical music with the modern techno-pop in singing and composition, and it really shows in every song. When I heard "Invoke" by T.M. Revolution and "Anna ni issho datta no ni / So Much Together, But..." by See-Saw in Gundam Seed, I immediately got a sense of both neoclassic and futuristic feeling from the music, which the composers have aimed to do just that and more. In short, this is truly an impeccable album with tons of smash hits by the new-age artists, and it matches with the creator's intention to redesign and recreate Gundam for the 21st Century. Overall, I'd like to give it 5 stars for its great fusion music and excellent singing by the artist. It's indeed the Gundam Music for the 21st Century. I hope you'll love as much as I do. When I heard "Invoke" by T.M. Revolution in Gundam Seed, it really gave me a redefined sense of the show and more. It's also got a great list of artists who contribute their talent on lending their songs to the melody and excitement. The result: an impeccable CD with tons of smash hits. I'd definitely give a 5 stars based on the performance, and recommend every one to buy it. Overall, It's the Gundam Music for the 21st Century.Go, Gundam!

Coolest Anime Soundtrack... ever,
By Zhivago - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Complete Best (Audio CD)
One thing that made Gundam Seed an instant hit in both Japan and America is the music. Whether it be the energetic music that introduced each eposide or the often reflective ending/credit music, I find them extremely well composed and performed. The Gundam production team really went all out with Seed and hired a slew of top Japanese-Pop artists such as See-Saw, Ms. Nakajia and etc to do their music. The result: a collection of amazing j-pop on one CD.Some comments on the music: Being a music student who studies mostly classical compositions (i.e. Beethoven, Mozart and the sort), the music of Gundam Seed appealed to me because it was musically and stylistically different than usual Jpop or popular music in general. The composer took time to create memorable meleody lines, modulated smoothly (ex: "Moment" ended on a Major Sixth, quite rare for any music to do), and added some great effects to the music. "Find the Way" employed a whole string section of the orchestra, successfully creating mood change by altering from long, held notes to short pizzicato (i.e. plucked) while "Moment" featured this really cool guitar that added a lot of flavor. In sum, the music from Gundam Seed is exceptionally very well done, and I strongly recommand you buy this CD for quality J-pop. In addition, check out the wunderkind Nami Tamaki - she is only 16 and has released over 9 singles and 2 full length albums. She sung 'Believe' of this compliation. 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful

My First Review ^_^,
By Francis Morgan "Kyo Kusanagi" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Complete Best (Audio CD)
I forget already who said they were missing Annani Isshodattnoni from the first box of Gundam Seed, but I actually got it from another Gundam Seed CD, simply named Collection 1. What's crazy is that I got it from a anime store in Brussels (currently stationed in Germany). I liked both the CD's, because some of the songs that were on Gundam Seed Collection 1 aren't on Complete Best, and vice-versa. Basically, it's the best of both worlds. The whole series is great (even though I'm missing Vol 3, 5, 6, 7), and the music can back it up. Nami Tamaki's voice is incredible! A must for those who are fans of this latest installment of the Gundam Family!
