I moved into a rental house in October 2011. The master bathroom had a little sticky hook on the wall by the sink instead of a proper hand towel holder. The hook was beyond irritating - every time you touched the towel on it, it fell off. Heck, I think it fell if you exhaled in its general direction.
One of my first tasks was to replace that ineffectual, cheap hook with something more stable. I bought something at Wal-Mart that looked like it would work, but when I removed it from the package, it was so flimsy I didn't even attempt to hang it.
That's when I ordered the Moen DN8486CH Inspirations Towel Ring, Chrome from Amazon. When it arrived, I could already tell it was an improvement over the previous options. The ring felt sturdy and solid and looked nice.
Although I've never installed something like this before, it was easy to do myself. I did it in less than fifteen minutes, and that's a high estimate.
I've used it for several months now and am more than satisfied with this towel ring.
