This is a very decent antenna considering it looks like there's nothing to it. I live in downtown Toronto; I have the CN tower & Lake Ontario within sight from my apartment window. I stuck the antenna to my window with painter's tape; I auto-scanned for channels & I was able to receive a respectable # of channels. Interesting discovery: the co-axial cable acts as part of the antenna; through fiddling with the thing I realized that the more cable that was against the window (as opposed to the wall), the better & more reliable my reception was; so I lined up as much of the cable as I could along the window frames; this helped me receive WNLO from Grand Island, NY; if I didn't use this technique then reception is a little more iffy even with local Toronto stations. The HD on the channels that broadcast in HD (which is all the big 1's) is absolutely spectacular; the big boys don't offer this, yet they love to charge you $80 per month mostly for garbage. With this antenna I realized that what you can get from an antenna is an incredible value: HD viewing for life at a price you'll really, really like. But I ended up sending this antenna back; I'm hoping to purchase something a little more powerful; this one is very nice though if u just want your city's locals; reception during winter at night seems to be iffy.
PS- After this, I'm a committed cord cutter. Is TV service really worth $1000 per year or $10 000 per decade??? I say hell no. The TV providers are delusional with that pricing; they think that they're rockstars when they're really just the cable guy. I say put them in their place: cut the cord.

Unbelievable Antenna and works perfectly well with HD channels. I only get 8 channels at this point being located in Vancouver DT, but I should experienment more by moving it around to get more channels. For the money it is worth it if you only require the basic local channels including one French channel.

After realizing that being mounted at a ground floor location was not ideal for the Mohu Curve, I opted to get the Mohu Leaf and see if mounting it seven feet high in the window would make a difference.

I am in West Toronto and my experience had been getting around 7 - 10 channels using a flat unpowered antenna and the powered Curve was able to get me 18 (However it had to sit on the window sill otherwise it would only get 14 near the TV about six feet from the window)

Having the Leaf in the window has actually netted me 23 channels.
The majority (except for four) all in high definition.

I didn't love the white Velcro mounting circles (as they look terrible on the black surface which is facing out) but they work and the thing has been up there without issue

Two stars because one star might be too unfair. Maybe on the flat prairie or on top of a hill with no trees or other buildings around it might work the way I expected. Instead, I get 5 or 6 weak stations from Bellingham, WA with "very old" movies and no news or sports. Oh, and a "shopping" channel. Certainly no High-Def stations. My TV is a 42" Panasonic Plasma HDTV.

The picture quality sucks and when the rains come, the stations disappear. I GET ZERO LOCAL STATIONS FROM METRO VANCOUVER... NOT EVEN CBC. Actually, the local Global TV station is about half a mile from my house as the crow flies. I don't get that signal either. I guess the actual transmission towers may be up on a mountain somewhere (maybe Mt. Seymore) but it's irrelevant since I don't even get a sniff of any of them. The TV and the Mohu are set up properly.

The antennae is mounted at the top of a window in my living room, about 8 feet above ground level, facing North towards Mt. Seymore. I'll try moving it around but I'm not holding my breath.

I wish I hadn't disregarded the other reviewers - I'm usually pretty good about that. I have an older Mohu and it's great. Decided to buy the Mohu 50 to get better reception. Like many other reviewers, the power cord doesn't work and that means the signal range is less than I wanted. I need to call Mohu about it - not looking forward to the hassle. Still, I love Mohu products - so happy to be able to ditch Rogers!

Very satisifed with the amount of stations I receive. Global, CBC, CHCH, OMNI as well as NBC, CBS and ABC with some fidgeting (located in Toronto).

However, on one of the hottest days of summer last year, with the black side out of Leaf facing outwards, the sun melted it and caused it to become extremely mis-shapen and I can no longer position it against a flat surface without it rolling up like a roll of paper.

Other than that I'm very happy with it. Just watch out for sunny days if you put this in a window!
