4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Journal Idea Feb. 23 2011
By Kelsey - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I was very impressed with this journal. It is my second Moleskine journal, but first in the fact that it had more content than just blank pages. Although it was not exactly what I was looking for, it doesnt mean it isnt a great product, I just wish I had a more clear description on what was inside.

When you get the book the first few pages are helpful things like a 6 year calendar, a database of all the popular airports around the world, and things of that nature. There is also a customizable standard packing list that i found rather helpful and clever. The middle part of the journal contains 5 tabs that are already preprinted and organized accordingly. These are:
(1)Wish List-area to write down quickly places you wish to visit
(2)Budget-help you gather everything you will need and cost associated
(3)Weekend, (4)Short Trips and (5)Long Trips-these sections vary in pages allowed for each trip in accordance with how long your trip was. There are a couple differnt sections to use "Before" (such as a packing list and where you intend to go) and "After" with lined pages for journaling and blanks parts to paste pictures.

There are also 5 sections that you can personalize with the sitckers they provided. Some have lined pages, some have places for just pictures. As with any moleskine there are 3 braided bookmarks, a accordian pocket on the inside back cover and an elastic band to hold it all together.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice idea, poor execution May 14 2011

I purchased two of these from Amazon. Neither one had the 202 adhesive labels that are supposed to come with the journal. Additionally, the planning calender that runs through 2018 is all messed up. The current year is wrong (Friday, May 13 is shown as the 11th, as in all the months), with months mis-labled. The years all say "To Be Updated" across the calendars, an embarrassing mess for Molskine. That must be why Amazon quit selling these. As is says on the back "Designed by MOLESKINE in Italy, Manufactured in China. I'll send mine back for a refund thank you.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good Sept. 29 2011

I liked the stickers & back pocket. I didn't like the organization of short trips & long trips. I prefer to use 1 journal per trip, so I ran out of space the way they organized it. I liked the pages for scrap book items. Its a good size for sticking in a back pack.

1.0 out of 5 stars Be Careful When Ordering!! Aug. 27 2011
By Beatrice - Published on Amazon.com

I ordered two of these (one for self and one for nephew ... for a trip we were taking together). Athough I am a fan of Moleskin products, these were a disappointment because we were sent sample editions (with calendars, labeling, etc all invalid / unusable).

I don't know how you could guarantee this not happening to you upon ordering ... this wasn't an isolated incident with this book ... read accounts of many others who got samples when ordering this product!

3.0 out of 5 stars A little too complicated Jan. 11 2012
By A. Shropshire - Published on Amazon.com

I do most of my travel planning online. Why carry something around when you can have it all electronically? But what I do like to do is come back home and write up my experiences, notes, and places I went. I usually end up lending out these books to others when they are planning their travel to the same places. For locations where I lived and had a lot to write about (like London and DC) I use the city specific Moleskine notebooks. But for the most part, I just don't have enough to fill one of those journals. I thought this would be a good alternative since I could put multiple cities into one book.

In theory, this works. But they still try to fit too much into a book. Instead of repetitive sections, there are long trips, short trips, resources pictures, just too many different things when really all I really want to do is keep 1 trip's details together. Still a nice presentation to give to people (oh and they can add their own notes too!)
