Product Description

Moms over 50 are still the same people they were at 20 and 30 but now they find themselves in a new phase of life. They have raised children who are adults—or almost adults. The grown up kids call on Mom for help some days and at other times want their independence. Just as in their younger days, these moms continue to nurture family and friends.

Moms over 50 may see their nest empty and then fill up again as adult children return home, either alone or with children.

Ina Mae Brooks is the co-author of an inspirational book of devotions Moms Over 50 to Go. Her manuscripts have been published in magazines, anthologies and on the Internet for the past nine years. She works freelance from her southwest Missouri home.

Ina Mae is a retired social worker and former church secretary. Her volunteer activities include serving as a disability rights advocate, and as a third-term member of the Missouri State Vocational Rehabilitation Advisory Council – at the discretion of the governor. She is a mentor to 1st grade pupils in the local elementary school.

Ina Mae and her husband have four adult children, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

LeAnn Campbell’s publishing credits include over 1100 articles, columns and stories. She teaches workshops on the craft of writing.

LeAnn Campbell retired in 1995 from teaching special education in a secondary vocational-technical school, and has also taught severely handicapped children.
She writes curriculum articles for public school teachers, and writes many articles on teaching preschool children in church. A grandmother of eleven and great-grandmother of two, LeAnn writes many articles on grandparenting.

She is a past-president of Christian Writers Fellowship in Girard, Kansas, and editor of the monthly newsletter. LeAnn is a member of Missouri Writers Guild and editor of the Guild’s quarterly newsletter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps you grounded Dec 19 2012

My children are in college and a junior in high school. Each is so unique and sometimes it is hard to know where you fit in to their lives. This book is a very real reminder that God can help you find your place; letting go is hard but necessary for both you and your grown child. This is an encouraging devotion.

I've use this book for devotional programs for our women's group at our church. The devotional programs were well received but I didn't find a lot to help in my personal devotions and went back to using other materials.

Sometimes it is hard to know how specifically we can pray for our adult children and their little ones. This book gives good guidelines and suggestions for praying effectively for the generations coming up behind us.

It is the perfect book for my circumstances. I have one child left at home and one child that is grown with children of her own.
