Product Description

2012 album from the California Progressive Grind Metal masochists. The album was produced by Dave Otero of Denver's Flatline Audio and sees the band exploring innovative new techniques in songwriting without abandoning their signature formula of confrontational audio wreckage and self-loathing lyrical content. Monolith Of Inhumanity is an achievement that stands out as one of the most volatile, ambitious, and impossible to aptly categorize records you will hear in 2012. With their seventh full-length, the band have never sounded more focused, aggressive, or manically determined to get in the faces of those who erroneously believe they've already experienced the band at their extreme best.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cattle Decap F****ing Rules May 11 2012
By Metal-Matt \m/ - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Finally got my "cattle pail kids" preorder today from indiemerch. It was a lil late thanks to metal blade waiting on them to send the vinyl,so I got it two days late but nevermind that,Because as soon I listened to this album I had to hear it again.I listened to it five times in a row before I went to work, and three times after, through and through I'm amazed at their muscianship. They're like a fine wine,They get better and better with each record.I have no problem with saying this is their best to date. There are some elements here that are unlike any other album in their "cattle log".I mean the first song has an almost hardcore death choir kinda thing toward the end and travis's weird harmonic howls are more meticuolus. The whole record is more meticulous, from the shrieks and squels to just the shere brutality,is just unmatched. I've seen these guys Three times, and Im seeing them again this month.I can't wait, their live show is just insanity! Do yourself a favor and just buy it! These guys work their assess off to make this music, this genre doesn't get enough recognition like it should, I mean these guys work ten times harder than most musicians today and have fun doing it. LONG LIVE METAL!!!!! Throw up your horns! \m/ \m/

5.0 out of 5 stars Without a Doubt the Best Album of 2012 July 5 2012
By Bret - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I initially downloaded this off a torrent site as I had previously only been what I would consider a casual fan of Cattle Decap. Before I knew it I must have listened to the album over a hundred times in a matter of weeks and have since purchased this on vinyl. It is hands down the best album so far in 2012, I do not regret making this purchase one bit.

If you like death metal there is no reason in hell you will not like this album. Do yourself a favor and purchase this, these guys put something out that is worth spending money on and that's coming from a guy that only purchases one or two albums a year.

5.0 out of 5 stars This album is "well done" no pun intend. May 11 2012

Once again Cattle Decapitation have proven to be seriously the absolute best Veg-death metal bands EVER! Travis Ryan is voice is unparalleled to anyone else. NOBODY SOUNDS LIKE HIM. The musicianship is over the top yet again. Next to Marco pitzurilla ( ex braindrill) this drummer is a blast beat God! New bass player rocks. Wonder why Troy left? Guitars..crushing. The "singing" portions are definitely different. It only shows that their evolving more and more. Basically this band needs your attention. Buy this album it will blow your mind. And if you weren't a fan of death metal you will 100% organically be one after this! :)
