Product Description

Monster Under My Bed combines rhythmic writing and colorful illustrations to make this a short, fun book for all ages but it was designed with your toddler and early reader in mind. A bonus story has been added to make this 35 pages of pure fun!

This book has been tested on both my kindle fire and kindle keyboard. Although it can be viewed on a regular kindle, it is probably best viewed by a color reader or computer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Meet the FUN! monsters March 20 2012

My family really liked this book. There were several laugh-out-loud moments! My kids, and admittedly I, loved the colorful monster pics and the cute rhymes for each one. This was just a cute, fun read for us. There was a subtle message that fit perfectly with the "fun" of the book. There are 2 parts to the book. We like the second part, Meet More Monsters, best but both were adorable. 5 out 5 stars.

My four year old boy has me read this over and over because he likes to look at the monsters and talk about them. We talk about what they must be like and what things they might do, and which ones might be friends, etc.

3.0 out of 5 stars Basically Just Two Books With Various Pictures of Monsters and No Real Storyline March 19 2012
By Mr James N Simpson - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Monster Under My Bed is two books, the first the title story, and the second Meet More Monsters. Both are pretty much just a bunch of well drawn non scary colourful monsters in the style of the one on the cover art, which are being introduced to the reader. There's no real story with either book which is kind of disappointing. The first starts of by introducing a monster named Fred, who lives under the bed, then three monsters which the narrator is slightly more scared off as each is introduced being Thor (one on cover), Mac and Gene. Each either lives in a different part of the house or does something to get him in trouble. The second book is longer and a lot better than the first, all the monsters in this one are introduced by a name badge high school reunion style sticker and a little rhyme about themselves, before they are revealed on the next page. Even though the monsters in the first book are not supposed to be scary the ones in the second are even less so, many with insect qualities.

Read and re-read to and by kids. Cute illustrations and text. Love this book. Someday hope to see a game from this author and illustrator.

Isn't it funny how the kids relate which monsters might be friends?! My son (now 7) LOVED this book. He has it on his Kindle Fire and although it's a little young for him now; he'll still get it out and read it to his 3 year old cousin. They always comment on which monsters might be friends and which may not get along well with the others. The fun, colorful pictures really help keep the attention of even young 'readers.' :-)
