Product Description

Disney•Pixar proudly presents the hilarious story of how two mismatched monsters met and became lifelong friends in a movie screaming with laughter and oozing with heart.

Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he’s dreamed of becoming a Scarer—and he knows better than anyone that the best Scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike’s plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, “Sulley” (John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer. The pair’s out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University’s elite Scare Program. With their dreams temporarily dashed, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right.

Get ready to party with hours of exclusive bonus extras, including an inside look at the world of monsters and the animated theatrical short film The Blue Umbrella. Monsters University opens the door to huge laughs on Disney Blu-ray.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scare College July 8 2013
By marriedutopianstriver TOP 500 REVIEWER
“Monster’s University” is an exalting animated film that follows the character of Mike and his comical journey of how he meets up with Sulley in college. They start out as rivals at the college, but eventually are forced to unite together when they recruit other fellow students into a team that they are building. “Monster’s University is good for those who like quirky animated films.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do Not Buy this movie July 19 2014
By Diane
This DVD continually skips and makes watching the movie a bad experience since the sound cuts in and out through the entire DVD. We just watched it in July 2014 even though it was purchased in December because the kids never got here for a visit till then. What a dissapointment. Wish I could return it but missed the 30 day deadline.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another Good Movie from Pixar Oct. 14 2013
Can't think of a movie yet where Pixar has dropped the ball. This coming of age movie has Mike and Sully coming of age and discovering who they really are. Hilarious scenes as they campaign to win the scare contest. However, I can't agree with the morally ambiguous message to young people as they both end up expelled from University as a result of their endeavors... Might have gone at it a different way in my opinion. But for sheer entertainment value, it's another winner.

Love the movie, however, the copy is very bad.
Cuts out throughout the movie and some symbols appear half way through.

Fun, light-hearted movie for the most part. It is a okay addition to my children's movie collection.
Glad I bought it on sale.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sigh May 13 2014
In all honesty, if "Monsters University" had been the original rather than the prequel, it would have been brilliant, but it wasn't the original; it IS a prequel. Alas. To clearly identify all the problems that I see with it, I would have to first give an entire dissertation on the merits of the original. Suffice it to say that this prequel undermines the brilliance, the innovation and inspiration of the original, virtually destroying an amazingly insightful, unique and entertaining movie experience. Please don't misunderstand, the voice actors, the animators--all the creative people who put obvious tiring effort into making this film clearly did their best, but there are some original movies that must stand on their own. "Monsters Incorporated" is one of those movies. This movie, "Monsters University," is destined to be nothing but a disappointment.
