5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Wonderful, Mar 25 2000

This is the first book I read by Rebecca Paisley. It was given to me by a co-worker and she never did tell me if she wanted it back! Saddly I became one of those people one shouldn't loan really good books to! This book made me laugh, made me cry, and gave me that all over good warm fuzzy feeling. Chimera and Sterling are so great together. The trouble she inadvertently stirs up, and the trouble the children stir up as well will have you laughing. She truly frustrates Sterling and makes him take a good hard look at himself and act on the positive side of his conscience. I would recommend this book and several others written by this author. Rebecca Paisley truly knows how to weave a web that traps you in the pages of her books. It is terribly difficult to put down this book once you start reading.

2.0 out of 5 stars moonlight and magic, July 4 2008

This was my first book by Rebecca Paisley. I was a little disappointed.
I did not like Chimera at all, she was a little too looney tunes for my liking. She also never stopped talking and she never stopped to think of the consequences of her actions before she did the outrageous things she did, which made her seem rather juvenile or just plain stupid.
I liked Stirling better, his rendition of the Lords Prayer made me laugh, although it was hard to believe he would not have known how to say the Lords Prayer properly, having been raised by Father Tom, but it was funny none the less. His fathering the children was fun. I didn't really like the brother's tongue twisting names, though. I will probably still read another book by this author, I just wasn't impressed by this one.
