Poetry for the Classroom,

This book was a wonderful, feel good selection of poetry for young children. I am a teacher at Irving Elementry School, and I teach English to four classes of fourth graders. Usually it is a trying task to find suitable poetry for that age group. they have already grown out of Shel Silverstein, and they wanted something more mature. I asked a fellow teacher and he told me that this book was a full of wonderful poems. The next day I went to B.J's bookhouse, and bought this wonderfull collection of anthologies. I read a few to my classes, and they immediatly fell in love with poetry,(something most forth graders loathe and despise). Well, I would definatly suggest this book to anyone with a child, or teaching a child (children).
