Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: More Than an Echo (Paperback)
The cover reads: "For fourteen years, she's just Jane Doe. But when her empathic powers kick in she becomes Echo Branson, untrained and as much a risk to herself as others. Fleeing the nightmare her life has become she seeks out a mentor, deep in the Louisiana Bayou. For the first time she learns she is not alone. Finally, a family. But it's a family she can't keep.Reemerging into a world where she must appear normal, Echo begins a career as an investigative reporter and immerses herself in a story that will rock the city of San Francisco. Fearing persecution - and worse - because of her paranormal abilities, she quickly learns she must keep everyone at arm's length, including the woman for whom her feelings are far too risky to explore. Having only her broken past to go by, Echo trusts no future. Can someone so incredibly different find safety, friends, let alone love, in a society that denies her very existance? More Than an Echo is the first in popular author Linda Kay Silva's electrifying new paranormal series featuring empath Echo Branson."

Interesting and new paranormal world opens up - great mystery,
By Philologus - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: More Than an Echo (Paperback)
I like paranormal novels which are so well rooted in the "normal" world that it is easy to believe it might just be true. Linda creates a great new alternative paranormal world with a convincing and intriguing main character, Echo, and lots of equally likeable secondary characters. Following Echo growing into her - supernatural - power is convincing and the added mystery investigation is again at the same time normal and paranormal and well done. The book is a very good start into the new series, and although the story can stand on its own, it lays enough groundwork so that a reader wants to know more about this new supernatural communityin books to follow. I look forward to the sequel which will be hopefully out soon.P.S.: beautiful cover! 10 of 11 people found the following review helpful

Wonderful cast of characters, definitely a must read,
By Petcop - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: More Than an Echo (Paperback)
I'm a bit biased, because I've enjoyed every book written by Ms. Silva. I couldn't wait for this novel to arrive, and I wasn't disappointed. Her research is so thorough the reader is immediately transported to the places and scenes described, and somehow becomes the silent observer. Not every writer can do that. More than an Echo is the type of book one can breeze through in a day, or savor it a chapter at a time, as I did. Ms. Silva has a talent for assuring that her characters will come alive and remain in your head for quite some time, leaving you anxious for the next installment! Echo Branson is just such a character, and I found myself wanting to find out how everything would turn out, while trying not to finish the book quite so fast. The plot is structured well without being too complicated to follow. I'm looking forward to more adventures from Echo!

New paranormal novel from Linda Kay Silva...,
By Shirl - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: More Than an Echo (Paperback)
Linda Kay Silva has created a new cast of wonderful characters in her latest novel, More Than an Echo. The author has an amazing ability to bring life to all the people in her books. Her first series about Delta "Storm" Stevens was mesmerizing, and I believe she will do the same with this book and those to follow. You become so invested in the characters, you forget they are fictional. I highly recommend this first in a new series.
