Adriane Lake (or "Adri", as she was known for her first album) has created a great work of indie electronic pop in "Morning Glow". Her voice will remind you of Stereolab, the music akin to Bjork, Royksopp, Psapp, Imogen Heap. Chirpy analog synths bubble over squelchy asymmetric but danceable rhythms. Layered vocals sing self-affirmations alongside filtered piano and accordion.
This will certainly make my Top 10 Albums list for 2009. Highlights for me include "So Beautiful" and "Jacques Cousteau". If you like the artists I mentioned above, you'll like this!
