Edwina's book is well researched, but written in poetic style . It is personable, introducing us to the women of history in a tender and very caring way. In these pages they become real, and one is drawn to them and wants to get to know them. These are the courageous women of the human story - often forgotten and rarely if ever talked about in the centers of power. Their power and energy, however extends through the ages and touches all women. They are indeed our mothers and our sisters.
