The 2.4GHz FHSS technology offers a more reliable wireless connection over previous cordless technologies such as 900MHz cordless antennas. That means better range and less chance of missing something important in your baby's room due to a weak or dropped signal.

The superior wireless range of the MBP36 lets you keep connected to your baby up to 200 meters away. Over the past 4.5 years, I've owned three Summer Infant Video Monitors (Day & Night, Sleek & Secure, Best View) as well as a Saftey 1st High Def audio monitor. The Day & Night display stopped working and was replaced on warranty - now all the handheld unit does is make a crackling noise. The Sleek & Secure has a horrible picture quality and randomly decides to stop working for days at a time. The Best View is now broken - the pin inside the hole where the AC adapter plug goes, broke off inside the plug. That model has been discontinued so I can't get a new one under warranty. All the Summer Infant monitors lasted me about a year. Other pet peeves are that I could see other people's babies on my Day & Night, and the Sleek & Secure and Best View would knock out my wifi connection. Don't even get me started on the Safety 1st - most annoying audio monitor ever.
I found the Motorola monitor and decided to buy it. First, the shipping from Amazon was amazing. I chose free shipping and my order arrived in 36 hours. Second, the packaging was perfect. Third, I purchased the monitor with the additional camera, both on sale. I could not find it on sale at any other online retailer. I was thrilled!
Motorola has done a fantastic job. What a beautiful monitor with all the features a parent could ask for. The packaging was a pleasure to open, not having to rip the box or use scissors. The set up instructions were clear. The display is huge and I can see the whole crib. Picture and audio quality is great. The camera is super quiet when it moves and the green light is not as bright as previous monitors I've had. The temperature reading matches exactly the temperature reader I already had in the room. The camera was already synched to the monitor and worked immediately after I charged it for the recommended time. The best part is it doesn't knock out my wifi connection.
I hope I never have to go back to a Summer Infant video monitor. It's worth the investment for something that you use every single day and gives you piece of mind in the middle of the night.
The only con I can come up with is that there is no belt clip. Otherwise, great job Amazon and Motorola!

This is the 4th monitor that I have bought over the last 5 years. It is by far the best monitor I have ever had or tested!!!!!! I wish they had this product 5 years ago, so I didn't have to waist hundreds of dollars on crap! I have twins and they sleep in the same room, so the moving camera makes my life so much easier. I can pan from one crib to the other. I can't say enough good things about this monitior system!

This is the best monitor I have seen on the market. The picture is very sharp and the sound is crystal clear. I like that I can easily hear my baby breathe as she sleeps. The pan and tilt functions work really well. The temperature monitor is also very useful. The range is excellent as the handset works anywhere in my house (even in the basement). Definitely recommend.
