Bought this book as we moved to the East Kootenays. Have used it many times and like it for it's detailed trail descriptions and trail access information. The photos in the book really inspire to go out and explore. As I live here, I am aware that due to the climate, roads and trails change quickly, with that in mind the book is a constant companion.

This book is neither a hiking guide nor a general travel book. The trail information is too incomplete to rely on for hiking information; the area descriptions are not complete enough to be a general travel guide.
