Book Description

Aug 1 2007

Fear was not part of Gods original agenda for his creation. It slithered onto the scene when Adam and Eve sinned, causing a tear in their relationship with God. And even though fear touches every life and can still debilitate people today, the news isnt all bad. Popular speaker and author Grace Fox demonstrates how believers can face their fear and actually let it be a catalyst for change.

Readers will learn how to stop hiding from God and instead develop a deeper relationship with Him. This is what she calls the upside of fear: When we cry out to God for help, He answers, and we experience Him in new ways.

Each chapter highlights a particular area where readers can begin to experience freedom from fears about their personal identity, their finances, their kids, the future, and more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Practical and relevant Aug 13 2012
Format:Paperback
Moving From Fear to Freedom, A Woman's Guide to Peace in Every Situation delivers what it promises - a guide to finding true peace. Everyone deals with fear; Grace has identified the most common fears and provides sensible, relevant coping strategies from the Bible. The book spoke to me personally and I have received many reports from women across Canada who have used in in small groups sponsored by Stonecroft Ministries and found it most helpful.

4.0 out of 5 stars Transparent and Practical Aug 12 2008
Format:Paperback
I really appreciate this book's transparency about the fears we too often keep hidden, and the author's practical tips for change. The book reassures women that we're not alone in our fears. Others have been there and have found a way to overcome by relying on the promises of the God of the Bible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Real answers for too-common fears Dec 6 2007
By Jeanne Zornes - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Read this book and you'll find yourself saying, "That's me," or "Maybe this is how I can minister to my hurting friend." Grace has her finger on the pulse of what women think and are often afraid to admit so that they could truly live in freedom. Grace is a diligent researcher, who conducted many personal interviews to get just the right stories to make her book real. The end-of-chapter questions, focus scriptures, and prayer bring reminder that no fear is beyond God's help. Get it for yourself and to use in a women's Bible study.

5.0 out of 5 stars Leave Fear in the Dust Dec 4 2007
By Janet H. McHenry - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This is an awesome book! I was the type of woman who had some rather irrational fears (like, where will I go when the tornado hits...and I live in the mountains in California!). Instead, I've found a freeing kind of help after reading Grace Fox's book. Basically, I'm able to look the situation in the eye and understand that God is bigger than it is. I highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fear not, God is with you... Dec 4 2007
By Deb Haggerty - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Moving From Fear to Freedom: A Woman's Guide to Peace in Every
Situation by Grace Fox has helped me immeasurably. Her common sense answers to the different kinds of fears a woman faces had me thinking she'd been living inside my life. I seldom read non-fiction books, but anyone who finds themselves worried about life would do themselves and their family and friends a favor by reading Moving from Fear to Freedom. Well done, Grace!
