The concept, popular several years ago, that developing and adding to a child's IQ by playing Mozart in the infant years has, I believe, been debunked.

So why buy this? Two reasons: 1) fabulous "soft" classical music, all appropriate for use at lullaby time, and hopefully 2) in the process, "imprinting" the classical tunes in the mind. (And its a good bet as background music for elegant dining for the grown-ups.)

"Smart Start"? Yes -- but for early childhood music appreciation. And that's a good thing.
