I bought these lights after reading some of the reviews. I was expecting some problems, but was pleasently surprised. They are great, give off just the right amount of light, and sense movement about 7 to 10 feet away. Perfect for stairways and dark halls, and so convienient. I bought six and all work properly.

I live in a bachelor with an unusually long entry lobby that only has one light switch near the entry door. I installed the three light near the bottom of the wall and was satisfied with the amount of light it provided. I was also surprised at how sensitive the motion detector is. However, during the first night I could hear crackling sounds, to discover the next day that the sticky pad did not hold the weight of any of the lights.
being a renter, I cannot afford to pierce the walls, so I think I will use 3M strip to cretae a tighter bond between the beams and the wall. Little added expense, but besides that, it is a really really good deal.
